My name is Karen Tran and I am a certified School Library Media Specialist.
I received my masters in education from Nazareth College in 2013 and proceeded to
teach at various positions until I decided to return to school to fulfill my dream of becoming a Library Media Specialist. This I completed at St. John Fisher in 2019.
In February of 2020 I became a proud Knight of the LeRoy round table
and I couldn't be happier!
Outside of the Media Center I have a daughter in the 7th grade
and have been married to the same wonderful guy for almost 25 years.
We live in Fairport with our dog Darla, cat Quazi, and our bird Kratts
(yes, named after the Kratt brothers!)
I am avid runner, hiker and audio book listener, I sing in our church choir,
and hate housework.
My favorite authors are J.K. Rowling and Gail Carriger and I'm usually
listening to one book, reading one book myself and one with my daughter
(we read EVERY night).
Mrs. Coleman has been the Wolcott School Library assistant for close to 14 years. Her favorite things about her job, reading fun books to WSS students and helping them find the perfect book. Mrs. Coleman is also an artist, whose artwork is displayed at galleries and local restaurants. She is looking forward to helping Mrs. Tran with the STEAM lab using her artistic skills.
